Superhero-loving PlayStation games were given a further treat at E3 this year, as Batman: Arkham VR was announced for the PS4.

Yes, we’ll be getting even closer to living our childhood dreams of being the Batman, by using PlayStation VR from October this year.

While the prospect is incredibly appealing, the trailer leaves the soon-to-be-released title in a state much like the Batman himself – shrouded in mystery.

Mark Hamill’s voiceover as the Joker, as well as the presence of Rocksteady Studios’ logo, and, of course, the name ‘Arkham’ in the game name, suggest that Batman: Arkham VR may be simply be a VR version of Batman: Arkham Knight, or the upcoming Batman: Return to Arkham, which allows players to play the last-gen Arkham titles on the current gen. This appears to be more likely than the other theory: an all-new entry into Rocksteady’s fantastic Arkham series.

Guess we’ll have to wait to find out!

Batman: Arkham VR is set for release in October 2016.
