To be fair to Marvel, this has been in the works for over a year, and is meant to represent the “zeitgeist of the world”.

And, beginning in Issue #2, all will begin to be explained; they have a plan. Granted the plan is to attention whore so damn hard the entire world reads your comic, but it does confirm one thing for pretty much everyone…
