EA has dealt a massive blow to Konami and and Pro Evolution Soccer by acquiring the Champions League license for it’s FIFA franchise, allowing FIFA 19 to feature a fully licensed Champions League.

The Champions League license has been held by Konami for Pro Evolution Soccer for a decade, but the 10-year partnership between Konami and UEFA came to an end earlier this year. By poaching this from Konami, EA now holds almost all of the major football tournament licenses for it’s FIFA titles.

FIFA 19 is coming to PS4, PS3, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on September 28th.
