Microsoft hit the ground running by opening their 2018 E3 press briefing with the reveal of Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite is currently in the works by 343 Industries, and although we didn’t get too much information about the game itself, we were treated to a video showing off the game’s brand new engine called: Slipspace.
343 has since updated Halo Waypoint with a post all about today’s announcement from Studio Head, Chris Lee. He mentions that “we (343) still have a long way to go until we ship the game” and that “the team also heard feedback loud and clear on the amount of time spent playing as the Master Chief in Halo 5. In Halo Infinite, the game will focus on the Master Chief and continue his saga after the events of Halo 5.” Something that fans of the Master Chief will be very glad to hear!
That’s about all the information we have so far, but with that Slipspace engine, this could easily be the most graphically impressive Halo yet.
