The rumored vastly upgraded Xbox One is a reality. Phil Spencer announced “Project Scorpio” at Microsoft’s E3 conference in Los Angeles today.
Although we didn’t get to see the console itself we know that it will be releasing during “Holiday 2017” and that it will be coexist and be compatible with all Xbox One and Xbox One S games and peripherals.
Project Scorpio will support “true 4K gaming and high fidelity virtual reality” and is being marketed as “the most powerful console ever”. Sony is yet to have their conference at the time of writing but having come forward earlier this week and announced that they won’t be talking about PlayStation 4K at E3, Microsoft look like they may have the upper hand in the upcoming upgraded console race.
