As promised, the release date for the upcoming PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man game by Insomniac was revealed today, and it’s coming September 7th.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog we got a bunch of other information including, our first look at the games box art, as well as some details about the various versions available for the game:
The Standard Edition will come with just the game and will be available digitally and physically in stores for $59.99 (as per usual).
A Digitial Deluxe edition for $79.99 which will include a copy of the game, the three chapter post-launch DLC “The City That Never Sleeps”, which will contain “new missions, new villains and characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man.” A note on the PSN pre-order page states that “users will receive DLC by March 2019”. Those who pre-order from the US or Canada will also receive a physical limited edition collectable Spider-Man pin through the mail.
The Collector’s Edition will retail for $149.99 which will include all the digital content from the Deluxe Edition as well as a Mini Artbook, a Steelbook case and a Spider-Man Statue. In the image below you’ll see that part of the statue is blacked out (what Spider-Man is standing on), this will apparently be revealed at a later date due to potential spoilers.
Pre-orders are now available on the PSN and include a Spidey Suit Pack which features Spider-Punk, as well as a couple of suits which will be revealed this summer, the Spider-Drone gadget, a PSN avatar, an original PS4 theme designed by renowned comic book artist Adi Granov, as well as some extra skill points.
